2010 IMPROVEMENTS TO THE FARMERS’ MARKET
Sealed bids will be received at the Purchasing office, 19th Floor, One Government Center, Suite 1970, Toledo, Ohio, 43604, until 2:00 p.m. (local time): TUESDAY, MARCH 23, 2010 for the Division of FACILITY OPERATIONS, Department of PUBLIC SERVICE.
A mandatory prebid meeting will be held at the construction site on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM to review the project.
Any bidder submitting a bid in the amount of forty thousand dollars ($40,000.00) or more shall submit a bid guaranty in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, subject to a maximum amount of two hundred thousand ($200,000.00). The bid guaranty may be a bid bond or a certified check or cashier’s check on a solvent bank. The bid guaranty shall provide that if the bid is accepted, the bidder shall enter into a proper contract with the City in accordance with the bid, plans, details, specifications and bills of material. Company checks are not acceptable.
All bids must be signed and submitted on the Bid Form bound into the Project Manual with one copy of the entire Project Manual submitted as the bid document. The Bid Documents including Drawing, Project Manual, including Specifications are on file in the Offices of Facility Operations and may be obtained at Great Lakes Engraving, located at 2726 Monroe Street, Toledo, Ohio at a cost of $25.00 per set. PRICE DETERMINING PROPOSAL
Performance of Alley and Dike Spraying
The City of Toledo, Division of Streets, Bridges and Harbor is taking proposals for the performance of alley and dike spraying in the City of Toledo. The city of Toledo allows informal proposals to be taken for contracts less than $40,000. Although the proposal procedure is informal, once a proposal is awarded, vendor is expected to enter into a formal contract with the city following the standard procedures set forth by city policies. Should the lowest or best proposal amount be greater than $40,000 this division will need to rebid following the formal bidding procedures outlined by the TMC 186.
The attached proposal form shall be completely filled out, signed and returned to the address given below by March 30, 2010, 3:00 PM. The original copy will be included as part of the contract.
