NuTones to Perform at Ottawa Amphitheater

The NuTones will perform at a free concert on August 20 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Ottawa Park amphitheater. The concert is open to all members of the public and there is a viewing area for those unable to traverse the steps down into the amphitheater. The NuTones concert is the last in a summer series sponsored by the City of Toledo’s Division of Parks, Recreation and Forestry and the Ottawa/Jermain Park Board.

Thanks to a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, restoration work has begun at the amphitheater. The first phase was recently completed which addressed storm water drainage issues as well as improving the access to the lower level of the amphitheater.

The amphitheater was constructed in the late 1930’s through the Works Progress Administration; it is the only structure of its type in Toledo and is a popular setting for concerts, weddings, plays and other events.

For questions concerning access or the concert series please call 419-936-3887. Should weather force the cancellation of this outdoor event, it will not be rescheduled.
