Youth and Prospective Employers Invited to Participate in Upcoming Youth Job Fair
Youth from ages 16 to 24 are invited to attend a Youth Job Fair Saturday, April 30th at the SeaGate Centre in downtown Toledo, where they will meet prospective employers and apply for summer work. The event runs from 10 am to 2 pm with no admission charge.
Young people will have the opportunity to meet and speak with potential employers and should dress for the Job Fair as they would for a job interview. “Research shows that youth employment promotes a sustainable economy and safe neighborhoods,” said Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson.
Businesses, nonprofit organizations and government agencies are invited to showcase employment opportunities for our area’s young adults this summer by participating. The Youth Job Fair provides employers with the ability to talk with hundreds of young people who are seeking valuable work experience, to take applications and interview candidates, all in one day. There is no charge to employers to participate. Those interested in attending or in sponsoring summer youth employment may contact the Toledo Youth Commission at 419-245-1417 or email email@example.com.
The Job Fair is sponsored by the City of Toledo Youth Commission, the Lucas County Commissioners and the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce.
