The Department of Neighborhoods provides and assists with the development of quality affordable housing, collaborates with community partners to support quality of life initiatives and programs. We strive for code compliance on properties in our community and work to eliminate blight affecting our neighborhoods.
The Department of Neighborhoods is launching a Roof Program for qualified homeowners in the City of Toledo. Limited funding is available through a Community Development Block Grant for roof repairs or replacement as well as other related repair work such as gutters, downspouts, roof flashing, and minor chimney repairs. Pre-existing damage to property caused by a leaking roof will not be covered by the program. This program is for low to moderate income homeowners whose household income does not exceed 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
Intakes (walk-in or phone calls) will be date stamped and reviewed on a first come first served basis from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm from February 13 to February 28, 2017. Because of limited funding, prospective participants should call or come into the office to complete the intake. No intakes will be accepted prior to February 13, 2017.
