City of Toledo Installed NEOS 360 Playground Equipment

Toledo, Ohio. Oct. 26, 2017 – Toledo Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson, along with area school children will formally accept the NEOS 360 playground equipment. The equipment was made possible by a matching grant from the Ohio Soft Drink Association and the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America. The virtual reality playground was installed along the riverfront to ensure that residents and visitors have a place to enjoy together.

The NEOS 360 is a challenging electronic playground system that encourages young and old alike to be active. It helps to build motor skills and is ADA compliant.
The NEOS 360 playground was installed on September 1, 2017 and has logged almost 5000 games played. The data will be used to help identify other parks in Toledo that could benefit from similar playground equipment

“With the Ohio Soft Drink Association Grant, Toledo is creating another spot in the city where families can gather, play and build memories. With the progress we are making downtown, the re-opening of Promenade Park and increased family activities, the NEOS 360 is a great fit in our downtown core,” says Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson.

“Our member companies have a long history in Toledo as strong employers and community supporters. We are proud to give back to the people of Toledo with the addition of the NEOS 360 – a fun, interactive way to bring families together,” says Kimberly McConville, Ohio Soft Drink Association executive director.
