City of Toledo/Partners Seek Snow Angels to Help Keep Toledo “Walkable”

The City of Toledo, Live Well and Toledo Public Schools are encouraging community members to consider being a “Snow Angel” by helping those in their neighborhood who may need assistance with shoveling or by removing snow from walks of unoccupied homes.

The City of Toledo has regulations to keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice to ensure the safety of all pedestrians in our community from serious injury and life-threatening hazards; whether they are U.S. Postal Carriers, children walking to school, or citizens using public transit. While the City has a plan in place to remove snow and ice from city-owned walkways in neighborhoods, there remains a need for additional help to ensure that all sidewalks are clear.
