Fiat Chrysler Incentive Package
For over a year, the City of Toledo and its partners have been engaged with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) in an effort to maintain and expand the production of the Jeep Wrangler.
Based on project assumptions provided by FCA, the City and its partners have assembled an incentive package that has been designed to ensure that Toledo offers the most competitive site. This has only been possible through constant dialogue between FCA and the public partners. That incentive package will be delivered at 12:00 p.m. on March 13, 2015.
The City and its partners are convinced that the combination of the incentives offered and the track record of performance of the men and women of the UAW Local 12, Toledo is now on a level playing field with the competition.
Once delivered, FCA will continue its analysis of the available incentives and how those incentives interact with its corporate goals. At this time, there is no clear date on when that decision will be rendered. However, it is anticipated that dialogue will continue between the parties.
Due to the fact that the City of Toledo is in competition with other States that might not have submitted its incentive package, no member of the team that was involved in the incentive discussion will be commenting on the package’s contents.
