Snow and Ice Update

City of Toledo employees took advantage of mild weather Sunday to haul salt, perform maintenance on equipment, and patch a number of barrel-protected potholes. Streets, Bridges, and Harbor employees stayed on shift for the next snow storm, which is currently tracking to be in the Toledo area at about 5 a.m. Monday. This storm could drop 1 to 3 inches of snow on the city.

If the snow accumulation is 3 inches or less city crews will work on plowing and treating phase 1, 2, and 3 routes first. When completed, crews will move into residential routes and plow. If snow is more than 3 inches, sister divisions and private plow contractors could be called in to help plow residential streets while Streets, Bridges, and Harbor crews work to clear and treat phase routes.
