3rd Party Partners - Homeless Service Providers
The City of Toledo (COT), Department of Neighborhoods and Business Development funds with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) dollars various agencies that can assist the COT/DON meet the National Objectives set by U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These Agencies, known as Third-Party Partners, undertake activities that assist the COT with providing suitable living conditions, affordable housing and job creation. The activities must address the U. S. HUD National Objectives of (a) benefitting low/moderate income individuals or families, (b) eliminating slum & blight conditions and/or (c) meeting an urgent-emergency need.
Toledo Lucas County Homelessness Board
Activity: Increase organizational capacity to carry out the Continuum of Care (CoC) and CDBG programs, as well as other eligible activities; and implement and monitor the ESG program to address and eliminate homelessness.
Activity: Provide street outreach, emergency shelter, homeless prevention, rapid re-housing and case management assistance to individuals.
Aurora Project, Inc.
Activity: Provide stable, safe, and service-enriched transitional housing to homeless women and their children to enable them to ultimately obtain and maintain permanent housing.
Beach House, Inc.
Activity: Provide emergency shelter, rapid re-housing, and case management services to homeless women and families.
Activity: Provide safe and secure transitional housing to those who are homeless due to domestic violence.
Catholic Charities (La Posada)
Activity: Provide emergency shelter and supportive services to homeless persons and assist them in obtaining transitional or permanent housing.
Activity: Provide emergency shelter and re-housing assistance to homeless families.
Harbor House/300 Beds, Inc.
Activity: Provide transitional housing services to homeless unaccompanied women and assist them in obtaining permanent housing.
St. Paul's Community Center
Activity: Provide emergency shelter, case management services, and nutritious lunches to homeless individuals.
United Way of Greater Toledo
Activity: Provide diversion services, homelessness prevention, and housing crisis response for households experiencing homelessness.
