SECTION 106 HISTORIC REVIEWS
Under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the Department of Neighborhoods and Business Development is responsible for reviewing site specific projects that are listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. The Department’s review of projects is triggered by use of HUD federal funds to undertake the projects. Proposed rehabilitation activities may have impact on historic properties or historic district in which the projects may be located.
As part of the Section 106 process, the Department invites public comment concerning historic properties that may be under review by the Department. If you are interested in learning more about specific work done on any proposed projects, or have any comments and /or suggestions about them, send correspondence by email or mail to the address below.
All correspondences must be received within 30 days of the “Date Posted”. Any correspondence received within the allotted time will be carefully reviewed with any comments and suggestions taken into consideration before the project is approved. Please provide your name, email address, home address, phone number and the nature of your interest in the subject property in any correspondence. Please allow up to seven (7) days for a response.
