2020 Leaf Collection Program

REVISIT THIS PAGE FOR FURTHER UPDATES ABOUT THE 2020 LEAF COLLECTION PROGRAM.

Leaf collection is performed in the fall to help prevent leaves from clogging the sewer system, create safe driving situations, and maintain a clean and healthy city. The program is scheduled to take place for 6 weeks, with a goal of collecting a majority of the leaves before the first snowfall.

Many factors can derail the schedule, such as rain, snow, and ice. In the event the collection schedule changes, the City will communicate the updated schedule through all channels available.

Please sign up for Toledo Text Alerts to be notified when crews are expected in your area.

Do you still have leaves from the 2019 season?

Please dispose of leaves in your grey trash containers or mulch them, which adds nutrients to your lawn. Do not dump leaves in ditches or creeks and keep storm inlets clear of leaves to prevent flooding and clogging of sewers.
