Air Resources

The City of Toledo Environmental Services Air Monitoring and Permitting section is responsible for managing, protecting, understanding and improving air quality at the local and regional level. Air pollution comes from many different sources such as factories, power plants, and smelters and smaller sources such as cars, buses, planes, trucks, and trains. Air pollution is also generated from naturally occurring sources such as windblown dust. Air Quality can be affected in many ways by the pollution emitted from these sources.

The scope of the Air Resource section is separated between the Air Monitoring and Air Permitting programs. Environmental Services works with other agencies to protect, restore and enhance natural as well as human environments.
