How it Works

Snow-covered sidewalks are dangerous for everyone. The City of Toledo's Snow Angels Program pairs older residents and residents with disabilities with nearby neighbors who volunteer to assist them with snow removal on their sidewalks and driveways.

Things to know before you sign up:

• We can't guarantee we'll have a match in your neighborhood.
• If you are matched, you'll be notified by email or call.
• You may be matched later in the season, as more neighbors sign up.
• You will remain anonymous to your match.
• Snow angels will shovel after 2+ inches of snow fall.
• Snow angels will shovel within 24 hours of snow fall.

Applications will open in late 2026.

Along with fostering community relationships, snow angels take the burden off neighbors after a heavy snowfall, keeps residents safe, and leaves a path for those outside during the winter weather – like postal carriers, firefighters, police officers, and other neighbors.
