The City of Toledo works with several partners to address nuisance wildlife situations.

If you have animals causing property damage or posing a health risk, you'll need a commercial nuisance wild animal control operator who is licensed to trap them. Licenses are issued by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Keep Nuisance Animals Away

Don't feed wildlife. Keep bird feeders where they can't be reached by other animals, and keep your pet food inside.

Keep your trash secured. Store with lid tightly closed or in a garage or shed. Don't leave trash out on your property.

Prevent access. Cover raised deck openings and window wells with mesh hardware cloth, repair broken or rotted areas in your foundation, windows, or roof, and trim tree branches away from your roof.
