Discrimination, Harassment, or Retaliation in City Programs, Activities, or Services
The City of Toledo is dedicated to ensuring that all individuals can access our programs, services, and activities without facing discrimination. The City of Toledo policy prohibits discrimination under any city program, activity, or service it provides to our community.
The City of Toledo policy prohibits discrimination or harassment based on age, ancestry, citizenship status, color, disability, gender, genetic information or condition (GINA), HIV/AIDS status, national origin, pregnancy, race, religion, sexual orientation, veteran or military status, and natural hair types or styles in city employment and in the city’s programs, services, and activities.
The City of Toledo also prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports concerns or participates in an investigation, in accordance with city policy.

Complaint is received
Human Resources will review the complaint and determine if an investigation is necessary to learn more about the interaction in question. If the complaint qualifies, an impartial invesstigator will be assigned to investigate the complaint allegations.
Follow up with complainant
If you provide your name and contact information with the complaint, Human Resources will follow up with you to provide updates on the case. We may request more information.
Investigate and recommend action
At the close of the impartial investigation, Human Resources will notify all parties of its findings and recommend appropriate next steps to remediate the concern and resolve the issue.
