Help Protect Toledo Families

The Smoke Detector Trust Fund has supported fire safety efforts in Toledo since the 1980s and was formally established by ordinance in 2022. The fund helps protect residents, save lives, and strengthen community safety with cost-effective fire prevention initiatives.

The Smoke Detector Trust Fund helps the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department:

• support community fire prevention programs
• provide public education materials
• deliver smoke detectors to Toledo residents
