The 2026 Memorial Day Ceremony on Saturday, May 23, will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the All Wars Memorial, located off Jackson Street on the Civic Center Mall.

The keynote speaker will be David Oravecz, a retired United States Marine Corps (USMC) non-commissioned officer (NCO), who is the executive director of the Lucas County Veterans Service Commission.

Additional remarks will be presented by Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, Lucas County Commissioner Lisa A. Sobecki, and Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz.

The program will include a POW-MIA empty chairs remembrance, a wreath-laying ceremony, chaplain presentation, Memorial Day bell ceremony, 21 gun salute, and a tribute to fallen soldiers, among other presentations.
