Mayor Renews Call for Community Conversation for Strong Public Transportation System

Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz this week renewed his call for a community conversation on a strong public transportation system in Toledo.

The mayor has taken TARTA to work at least once a week since taking office. The bus has proven to be a great way to commute, the mayor said.

“TARTA needs the Toledo community to rally around it to ensure its future is strong,” Mayor Kapszukiewicz said. “Our economy is based in a large way on movement. Successful cities invest in, and have strong public transportation systems.”

The mayor on Monday unveiled a sign that will hang at his parking space at One Government Center indicating when he has taken the bus to work.
