LGBT Pride Flag-Raising Ceremony

Monday, June 11, 2018

Toledo leaders will highlight the city’s commitment to inclusivity at noon, tomorrow, Tuesday, June 12 in front of One Government Center by raising the Pride Flag in honor of LGBT+ Pride Month. The flag will fly in front of One Government Center in place of the city flag through the end of June.

“The city of Toledo is supporting and celebrating LGBT Pride Month,” Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz said. “This is just a small way we show the city’s commitment to LGBT issues and building a community where all feel included and valued.”

Council Member Nick Komives donated the Pride Flag that will fly in place of the city flag, just beneath the Lucas County flag. The city flag will be returned to the flagpole on July 1.
