Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz and a team of city officials traveled to New York this weekend to meet with bond rating agency analysts today and tomorrow.

Councilman Larry Sykes, chairman of the finance committee, Chief of Staff Katy Crosby, Finance Director Melanie Campbell, and Law Director Dale Emch accompanied the mayor for the meetings today with Assured Guaranty Corp. and Moody's Investors Service.

The team will meet with officials from Standard & Poor's tomorrow before returning to Toledo. The city’s bond counsel and underwriter are also attending the meetings. The presentations will include an employment update, a review of the Toledo Expansion Incentive Program, a development summary, and details on the city’s revenues, expenditures, and financial position.

Toledo last year maintained the same bond ratings as the previous year. Moody’s Investor Service rated Toledo “A2 with a stable outlook” and Standard & Poor’s granted an “A- rating with a stable outlook.”
