Official Toledo Delegation Travels to Italy

Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz will join a delegation of Toledo Sister Cities International officials and local business leaders on an official trip to two Italian cities the week of Nov. 7th.

The delegation will be leaving Sunday, Nov. 7th in the evening and returning to Toledo Saturday, Nov. 13th in the afternoon.

There are two reasons local officials are traveling to Italy.

The first order of business will be to finalize a Sister City relationship with the city of Ferrara, Italy. Then the delegation will travel to Rome to discuss the possibility of attracting an international sporting event to Toledo in the summer of 2022.

The delegation will be hosted by Italian businessman Raffaello Pellegrini, who will cover the group’s costs while it is in Italy.
