Results of Comprehensive Housing Strategy and 10-Year Action Plan Released

Tuesday, January 04, 2022

The City of Toledo Department of Neighborhoods and Enterprise Community Partners, a national nonprofit whose mission is to increase the supply of affordable housing, released a joint study called Toledo Together: A Guiding Vision & 10-Year Action Plan for Housing.

The study began in October 2020, and the findings are based on focus groups, stakeholder interviews, surveys, and public meetings. It focusses on addressing housing disparities and advancing racial equity. It also outlines housing policies and programs that will benefit everyone in Toledo.

"This is really a benchmark for the City of Toledo," Rosalyn Clemens, Department of Neighborhoods Director, said. "This is the first time that Toledo has launched a broad-based effort to bring together partners to really look at the issue of comprehensive housing needs, and what we need to do in the next 10-years to achieve the type of housing system and housing policies that we want here in Toledo."
