2023 Clean Toledo Drop-Off Refuse and Recycling Events Schedule
The Department of Public Services announces the 26 refuse and recycling drop-off events throughout the city this year.
Acceptable items include electronic waste (including TV’s and CRT TV’s and monitors); up to 10 tires, on or off the rim, but no commercial tires; document shredding and recycling; bulky items, cardboard, and refuse. Styrofoam will be accepted at all events. This year air conditioning units, refrigerators/freezers, and large appliances will be accepted. Latex paint, oil-based paint, and stains are accepted free of charge.
Used medical equipment will be accepted through a partnership with the Ability Center at the Toledo Zoo, Frederick Douglas Center, Epworth United Methodist Church, Horizons Science Academy, and Ottawa Park.
In partnership with Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful (KT/LCB), boat shrink wrap will be collected at the Toledo Zoo, Detwiler Park, and Point Place Plaza events.
Most drop-off events will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at designated locations. The events will have visibly marked lanes for traffic flow, as well as identifiable volunteers who will direct participants.
Clean Toledo recycling events will be held as follows:
- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 15 at Imagination Station/Promenade Park, 1 Discovery Way
- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 22 at Party for the Planet at the Toledo Zoo, 2 Hippo Way
- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 29 at Toledo Technology Academy, 3301 Upton Ave.
- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 6 at Detwiler Park, 4001 North Summit St.
- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 13 at Robinson Elementary, 1075 Horace St.
- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 20 at Rogers High School, 222 McTigue Dr.
- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 3 at Point Place Plaza, 5109 Suder Ave.
- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 10 at Frederick Douglass Center, 1001 Indiana Ave
