One Government Center
Toledo, Ohio 43604
We strive to improve the quality of life in Toledo’s neighborhoods. Our work includes housing repair, creation, and preservation of affordable housing, fostering home-ownership, and code enforcement. This important work is undertaken with many nonprofit partners and neighborhood organizations.
Despite the challenges of COVID-19 we have been hard at work during the last quarter. We spearheaded the completion and approval of the City’s COVID-19 Community Development Block Grant and Emergency Solutions Grant applications to HUD, allowing us to access and deploy $6.6 million of federal CARES Act funding to assist our residents and businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Key initiatives developed in response to COVID-19 are the $2 million Emergency Renter Assistance Program and the $1 million Emergency Micro-enterprise Grant Program.
