TNCBI is designed to build support for neighborhood revitalization through engaging select nonprofit organizations to build capacity in strategic areas for effective neighborhood revitalization and sustainability.

Community-Based Organizations that are interested in applying for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding will be required to participate in TNCBI (effective starting in the 2027 grant cycle).

Cohort III will include two tracks, with track 1 focusing on newer organizations under 3 years old and track 2 focusing on more established organizations over 3 years old. The institute will run through June 2026 and participants will engage in a combination of in-person and virtual sessions to complete the program.
