Housing Assistance Program is Available Now
The City of Toledo, in partnership with Pathway Inc. and the Health Council of Northwest Ohio, is launching short- and medium-term financial assistance through the H2H program to support residents experiencing housing instability.
The program provides rental and utility assistance for individuals and families who are currently homeless or at risk of losing housing. Funding may be used for urgent needs including rent payments, security deposits, utility deposits and bills, rental application fees, and other supportive services.
In addition to financial assistance, program participants will receive case management and connection to community resources to support long-term housing stability.
Applicants should be prepared to provide the following documentation:
- Valid photo ID
- Social Security card
- Email address
- Income verification
- Rental application fees
- Security deposits
- Current and future rent documentation
- Utility deposit and payment information
- Information related to supportive services
The application period will open July 13 at 12 p.m. and close July 17 at 12 p.m. Applications must be submitted online through the Neighborly application portal. No paper or emailed applications will be accepted.
Residents who need help completing the online application can receive in-person assistance at the Toledo Lucas County Public Library's Main Library, 325 Michigan St., from 12 to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday during the application period. Slots are limited, and residents are encouraged to apply as soon as the application period opens.
