Rev. H.V. Savage Park is getting a major upgrade. Guided by years of community input, the City is investing in new amenities, improved accessibility, and safer, more welcoming spaces for families and neighbors to gather.

What's Happening

This project will transform the park with a mix of new features and upgrades to existing infrastructure:

  • Pool Removal & New Gathering Space – The old pool will be removed and replaced with a new open-air shelter for events, shade, and everyday use
  • New Splash Pad – A modern splash pad will provide a fun, accessible water feature for kids of all ages
  • New Playground – Updated play equipment designed to be safe and accessible
  • Restroom Improvements – New flush restrooms for reliable, year-round use
  • Parking Lot & Sidewalk Upgrades – The parking lot will be repaved and sidewalks will be fixed to improve access across the park

This project also focuses on preservinf and enhancing the park's natural features:

  • Improvements to the native oak groveto make it easier to access and enjoy
  • Nature-based stormwater solutions to manage rainwater and support long-term sustainability
  • New landscaping and green features to improve the park's look and feel

Learning & Exploration

New interpretive signs will help visitors learn about:

  • Local plants and wildlife
  • Why green spaces matter in cities
  • How the park supports a healthy environment
