Adding a second meter to your home can help save you money on your water bill during the summer if you're using a lot of water to fill a pool, water your lawn, or wash your car.
During the winter months, the property owner will be responsible to winterize the irrigation line and meter to prevent damage.
Property owners will need to hire a licensed plumber to:
- Apply for an Alternate or Irrigation Meter Permit
- build a new meter setting with a backflow device
Once the plumbing work is complete, the property owner or plumber can schedule a meter installation through Customer Service at 419-245-1800.
