Juneteenth is a day marked with celebrations, guest speakers, picnics, and family gatherings that recognize the 19th of June as the day of emancipation of enslaved people in Texas. It is also a time for reflection, rejoicing, assessment, self-improvement, and planning the future.

Juneteenth
Celebrate Juneteenth at the Toledo Museum of Art with a day of reflection, creativity, and community. Through art making, music, movement, and storytelling, we honor Black history and freedom while looking toward a more connected future.
The Family Center is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and requires a separate registration.

Juneteenth Brunch
Day party with a purpose. Honoring the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. 2025 scholarship recipients. There will be a silent auction and live entertainment by the Distant Cousinz. Afrocentric attire is encouraged.
