Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity Home Dedication

Friday, September 27, 2019

Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz and other city officials will help dedicate the most recent Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity home during a ceremony at 5113 Wissman Rd., 5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 30.

The dedication program will include a welcome from Michael McIntyre, Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity executive director; a bible presentation from Bobbi Jo Dixon, a support partner; and the key presentation by Mayor Kapszukiewicz.

The Toledo Department of Neighborhood and Business Development assists with the development of quality, affordable housing and collaborates with community partners to support quality of life initiatives and programs.

“We strive for code compliance on properties in our community and work to eliminate blight affecting our neighborhoods,” said Amy Sackman Odum, Neighborhood and Business Development director. “The home was only possible because of the partnership between the city and Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity. The Neighborhood Stabilization Program was a significant funding source for the program – providing a 20 percent down payment to help ensure affordability.”
