Notice: Delaware Creek Stream Restoration Project
NOTICE: Proposed Floodway Development Affecting Delaware Creek
In accordance with TMC 1110.410(A)(2)(d), this notice serves to inform potentially impacted property owners, both within and outside the the community, of proposed floodway development and potential impacts.
Project Description
The Delaware Creek Restoration Project includes stream channel restoration, bank stabilization, and associated in-stream riprarian improvements to enhance water quality, improve habitat, and stabilize existing erosion conditions. Construction will occur on City property and may include selective tree removal, grading, and placement of natural channel features within the floodway.
Floodplain and Floodway Impacts
Based on the Hydrologic and Hydrolic (H&H) analyses and the supporting modeling, the anticipated impacts of the project will:
- not increase the base flood elevation
- not impact occupied structures
- minimize adverse flood impacts and create long-term channel stability
Potential Effects to Adjacent Properties
During construction, temporary impact may include:
- construction noise
- equipment operation
- limited access restrictions near the project area
There are no anticipated changes to access or use of private property.
