Summer Pool Credit Applications Now Open
The City of Toledo today announced that the annual Summer Pool Credit program is now open for applications. Toledo water customers who fill a private swimming pool between May 1 and July 31 may be eligible for a one-time sewer credit of up to $50 on their account.
The program, available each summer, is designed to offset sewer charges that accrue when residents fill backyard pools — water that flows into the pool rather than the sewer system. Eligible customers must complete an application form within 14 days of filling their pool to receive the credit.
To qualify, customers must:
- Have an active water and sewer account
- Have an AMI water meter
- Be current on their account
- Live inside Toledo city limits
- If a renter, have a signed Landlord-Tenant agreement on file with the City
Customers can apply online at toledo.oh.gov/pool-credit. Applicants will be notified of their status within two weeks of submission. Credits may take up to two billing cycles to appear on an account.
The deadline to apply is July 31, 2026.
