Citywide Pothole Blitz Begins February 17
The City of Toledo will launch a citywide pothole blitz from February 17 through February 21, taking advantage of a temporary break in the recent stretch of extremely cold temperatures. Crews will be out in full force, aiming to fill 7,500 potholes in just five days.
Fluctuating winter temperatures, especially freeze-thaw cycles, are a leading cause of potholes. With conditions expected to improve next week, the City is mobilizing additional crews to make significant progress on repairs across Toledo neighborhoods.
Residents are encouraged to report potholes through Engage Toledo by:
- Downloading the Engage Toledo app
- Visiting the web portal
When submitting a report, please:
- Provide the exact address or the closest intersection
- Specify which lane or direction of travel the pothole is in
- Include any helpful details that will assist crews in locating it quickly
The City prioritizes pothole repairs based on safety and severity, with major roadways and high-traffic areas addressed first. Crews will be working throughout the city during the blitz, weather permitting.
