Parks and Recreation Youth Advisory Board Open for Applications

The Parks and Recreation Youth Advisory Board is open for applications until April 29, 2022. No previous leadership experience is necessary.

The Youth Advisory Board is comprised of 12 to 18 students, ages 14 to 18, who help with decision making regarding various aspects of the city park system.

Some functions of the Youth Advisory Board include: engaging with park and recreation department staff to build a system that is inclusive to the city’s youth, promoting youth concerns in Toledo, and implementing community projects to help address youth needs.

The Youth Advisory Board meets monthly and members serve for two years. Members are selected to serve as officers and lead board meetings.
