Pothole Emergency Plan Deadline Reached

The city of Toledo’s six-week pothole emergency plan deadline was reached Friday with 73,020 potholes filled. The potholes filled for the year total 93,952.
“City of Toledo crews, with help from the Lucas County Engineers office, have performed great and really hustled during this six-week period to fill as many potholes as possible,” said Toledo Public Service Director Paul Rasmusson. “There is still work to be done and we are not stopping.”
Crews covered 64.2 percent of the city during the six-week period. The remaining neighborhoods will also be addressed, Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz said.
“We will continue with the program until we have driven 100 percent of city streets and filled every pothole,” the mayor said.
