Rocky Ridge Zoning Change Proposal Denied

Tonight, City Council took long-awaited action to resolve the zoning compliance issue at 4004 Angola Rd., voting to deny the requested zoning change. Proposals to rezone adjacent properties at 0 Byrne Rd. and 3920 Angola Rd. for expanded operations were also denied.

Now that the formal review process has concluded, the City will move forward with enforcement and issue Rocky Ridge a stop-work order to halt operations at 4004 Angola Rd., which are currently in violation of the zoning code.

Every business in Toledo is entitled to the same consideration and process when working in good faith to comply with city regulations. Rocky Ridge was given the opportunity to develop a corrective plan with city staff, the public had the chance to weigh in, and the proposals followed the City’s standard review process.
