About the Project

The City of Toledo has been selected as the site of one of eight projects for the Ohio Department of Transportation's (ODOT) Speed Management Pilot Program.

Washington St. from 17th/Dorr St. to Summit St. will see a redesign intended to keep speeds below 25 mph. After its completion, this project will be monitored to determine its success and help shape future programs for ODOT that could lead to further funding opportunities statewide.

This project is entirely funded from ODOT's Safety Program, and Toledo is one of three Ohio municipalities that received the maximum $5 million award.
