The Division of Engineering and Construction provides planning, engineering and construction administration for major infrastructure improvements and assists in supporting other operating divisions with their engineering needs. The division is responsible for coordinating the replacement and upgrade of the city’s utility distribution and transportation systems. This includes water lines, sanitary sewers and storm water facilities, public sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, and streets. In addition, Engineering and Construction Management is responsible for plan reviews and inspection of construction within the public rights-of-way.
