The Office of Diversity and Inclusion was originally created in July 1988 as the Office of Affirmative Action/Contract Compliance to administer the City of Toledo's Affirmative Action and Contract Compliance Programs. On February 2, 2016, the name was changed to Office of Diversity and Inclusion. This Office operates under the jurisdiction of the Mayor.
