The City of Toledo offers reserved on-street parking for permanently disabled residents to support mobility and access.
Eligibility
All requests are reviewed by the Division of Traffic Management. Approval is based on safety, street parking conditions, and compliance with all applicable laws.
Residents who meet all the criteria below should apply:
- Live at the address where the space is being requested
- Have permanent Ohio disabled license plate or blue placard
- Live on a street where on-street parking is permitted
- Do not have usable off-street parking
What you'll need to apply:
- Valid Ohio Driver's License
- Ohio BMV proof of a permanent disability placard or plate
- Vehicle registration matching application address

Fees & Renewal
- Initial $10 installation fee
- Annual $5 renewal fee to maintain
- Failure to renew may result in removal

Can I apply for a space for a temporary impairment?
No. The impairment must be permanent and certified through the Ohio BMV.
Parking isn't allowed on my side of the street. Can I still qualify?
Maybe. You may qualify if you provide written permission from a neighbor across the street allowing you to use the space in front of their home.
I rent and the landlord won't let me use the driveway or garage. Will the City provide me a space on the street?
You should submit a Request for Reasonable Accommodation to your landlord.
What if someone parks in my reserved space?
Report parking violations to Toledo Police Department non-emergency line at 419-245-3255.
What happens if the person using the space moves or passes away?
Please notify the Division of Traffic Management. Transfer of the space is not guaranteed..
