The Ottawa-Jermain Parks Advisory Board is a group of Toledo residents committed to fulfilling the park's legacy and the intended purpose of the park to provide a "restorative power" to those who visit, as was defined by the park's designer Frederick Law Olmsted.

The Ottawa-Jermain Park Advisory Board has raised money to support the park including a $50,000 District Improvement Program grant to construct a concrete walkkway and entrance arch at the amphitheater. They have secured funds for a new floor and chiller system in the ice rink, replaced rooftops on the shelters, helped fund the Ottawa Gate sculpture, and organized park clean ups. The Friends of Ottawa-Jermain Park sponsor the summer concert series and Pumpkin-a-Rama in the fall.
