Join us for the MLK Unity Day Celebration, presented by the Human Relations Commission and the University of Toledo. This virtual event, broadcast on the City of Toledo's Facebook, BCAN, and the University of Toledo's website, features influential guest speakers and local performers under the theme "Building Bridges and Breaking Bread." This year's events emphasize unity, reflection and service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy.

Virtual Video Celebration

The cornerstone of this year’s celebration is a virtual video featuring six community members reflecting on Dr. King’s core principles: nonviolence, justice, love, faith, courage, forgiveness, hope, and service. The video also includes remarks from Councilmember Brittany Jones, UT Interim President Schroeder, and Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz.
