The City of Toledo is spearheading a visionary streetscape enhancement plan for the Huron Street and Madison Avenue corridors, aiming to revitalize these areas based on community input.
This initiative, a key part of a broader infrastructure upgrade, focuses on enhancing pedestrian experiences, traffic safety, and civic spaces through improved pavement design, planters, street trees, and other amenities.
While not yet funded, the project will shape a comprehensive plan to seek state and federal grants. Community participation is crucial, and residents are invited to share their ideas and feedback, ensuring the project reflects their vision for a vibrant, connected downtown Toledo.
Our goal is to create a streetscape that is:
- connected and walkable
- active and living
- branded
- safe and vibrant
