Celebrate Earth Day by Choosing Online Billing “Eco-Friendly” Paperless Option

Friday, April 20, 2018

Toledo’s Public Utilities Department today celebrated the 3-year anniversary of offering online billing. Customers have been making utility payments from smart phones and computers, which is an “eco-friendly” option that saves paper, since April 20, 2015.

More than 19,240 customers have signed up for online billing as their preferred billing method during the three years since the option was made available. Of those, 2,850 requested to go paperless. During that same period, more than 215,000 unique page views were logged on QuickPay, the online platform that enables non-property owners to view balances and make utility payments.

To choose Toledo’s online billing, or to go “paperless,” property owners may use a smart phone to download the Engage Toledo mobile app and selected the “Pay DPU Bill” button, or they can sign up in person at the Department of Public Utilities Walk-In Center, 420 Madison Ave.
