Longtime Employee Megan Robson is Promoted to Director of Public Service
Congratulations to Megan Robson on her promotion to Director of Public Service!
Megan has been working for the city for the past 16 years. She started her career as an economic development specialist under the Finkbeiner administration.
Robson has learned about the inner workings of City government from the ground up. She said her time with the City has given her the opportunity to meet hundreds of City employees, which she says is a very important part of her job.
"Being in a leadership position is about creating and fostering relationships. I want to empower our team to build meaningful connections with other employees, residents, communities, and businesses,” Robson said.
“That's what has kept me in this City for so long, and what truly drives me in my career.”
As Director of Public Service, Robson will be spearheading several exciting initiatives this year.
“We have some great projects for 2023. We're offering more recycling events this year than we have in the past and we are purchasing more equipment and vehicles for our city divisions,” Robson said.
Additionally, the City will plant more trees to date, demolish vacant and nuisance homes, and redevelop and upgrade community and senior centers.
When Robson is not on the clock, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
“I watch a lot of hockey games and a lot of soccer games right now but I think the most fun for our family is building a hockey rink in our yard and having everyone over to skate,” Robson Said.
