The 2025 street sweeping program will begin March 31st.

City of Toledo streets are swept each year to prevent debris from clogging the sewer system and to maintain clean streets for the traveling public. Typically a street is swept two days after garbage pickup. Streets are not swept weekly, streets are swept on a rotating basis approximately five to seven times per season.

Why Sweep Streets?

On average 5,300,000 lbs. of debris is removed from city streets on an annual basis. Removing this debris makes our roads cleaner, safer, more visually appealing, and protects both the environment and the pavement.
