The City of Toledo is launching a streetscape enhancement plan for Summit Street in the Vistula neighborhood. Summit Street is a critical north–south corridor that connects neighborhoods, businesses, and the riverfront. This project builds on recent planning efforts and community priorities to create a safer, more welcoming, and more connected public realm.
Our goal is to create a corridor that is:
- Safe and comfortable for all users, especially pedestrians
- Visually appealing and reflective of neighborhood identity
- Connected to the Glass City Riverwalk and surrounding neighborhoods
- Supportive of growth, encouraging investment and activity along the corridor
While not yet funded, the goal is to create a comprehensive plan and identify the implementation cost to seek state and federal grants.
