We are an educational, advocacy, and compliance agency.
The Office of Affirmative Action/Contract Compliance was originally created in July 1988 to administer the City of Toledo's Affirmative Action and Contract Compliance Programs. On February 2, 2016, the name was changed to Office of Diversity and Inclusion. This Office operates under the jurisdiction of the Mayor.
Diversity and Inclusion facilitates economic growth and development of businesses by and for members of underrepresented populations; addresses and reduces the complaints filed regarding harassment and discrimination on the basis of protected class status; and ensures access to facilities and programs owned and operated by the city for people with differing accessibility issues.
