Ambassador Academy Applications Now Open

The City of Toledo is now accepting applications for the 2025 Engage Toledo Ambassador Academy (ETAA). This free, 10-week program offers residents a behind-the-scenes look at how local government works—and how to get involved.

Applications are open now through Saturday, July 27.

ETAA empowers residents to build stronger partnerships with City leaders by encouraging open dialogue, civic engagement, and shared responsibility for the future of Toledo. Participants will hear directly from department leaders and learn how city services and programs operate—from public safety and utilities to youth services, neighborhood development, and economic growth.

Weekly sessions take place on Thursdays from 5:30 to 8 p.m., beginning August 14 and concluding with a graduation celebration on October 22. Sessions are held at locations across the city, with one evening dedicated to a conversation with Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz.
