The Old South End NRSA is located on the south side of Toledo, bounded by the Anthony Wayne Trail, the Maumee River, and an I-75. The neighborhood is bisected by Broadway, a major urban thoroughfare lined with commercial, institutional, and residential land uses.

Economic and Workforce Development
Job Creation: Create or retain 20 jobs through assistance to small businesses and microenterprises.
Business Support: Support 10 minority-owned, women-owned, and disadvantaged businesses in the commercial corridors.
Commercial Vibrancy: Create 7 new business spaces through the Vibrancy Initiative.
Workforce Development: Train, hire, and retain 65 weatherization technicians and 70 lead workers through the Toledo Healthy Homes Training Center.
Neighborhood Improvement
Infrastructure Improvements: Improve infrastructure in the commercial corridor with $7.8 million in funding.
Public Services: Increase public services through two community-based development organizations.
Demolition of Unsafe Structures: Demolish 23 unsafe structures and start a code enforcement receivership pilot.
Capacity Building: Begin a Neighborhood Capacity Building Institute to train 5 community leaders and identify one CBDO in the NRSA.
Affordable Housing
Increase Housing Supply: Develop 35 new affordable housing units.
Improve Housing Quality: Repair 80 owner-occupied single-family houses and provide lead-paint abatement and weatherization assistance for 20 homes.
Rehabilitate Vacant Properties: Acquire and rehabilitate 15 vacant properties for homebuying and rental.
Homeownership Opportunities: Convert 20 low-income housing tax credit rentals into homeowner units.
Roof Repairs: Repair 50 roofs in the neighborhood.
